This is a hands-on role that would suit someone with a practical mindset who enjoys site work, working with structural steel and is looking to build a long-term career within the engineering and construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting Fitters with the installation and erection of structural steelwork and bespoke fabrications.
* Preparing steelwork, tools and materials ready for installation.
* Loading and unloading vehicles safely.
* Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
* Assisting with drilling, bolting, fitting and assembly of steel components.
* Supporting site installations while maintaining high quality standards.
* Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe.
* Following all site health and safety procedures.
* Travelling to customer sites across the UK and working away from home when required.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience within structural steel, construction, engineering, fabrication or site installation is desirable.
* Valid CSCS Card (essential).
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
* Comfortable working away from home during the week when required due to the nature of the role.
* Physically fit with a practical, hands-on approach.
* Able to work safely at customer sites and follow health and safety procedures.
* Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
* Willingness to learn and develop within the business.
