TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in North Somerset to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. The school is committed to helping every student achieve their full potential through a supportive learning environment, high expectations and a strong focus on both academic achievement and personal development.
The school is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from September, with the role expected to continue for the full academic year. The successful Learning Support Assistant will provide classroom support for identified students, work collaboratively with teachers to deliver adaptive teaching strategies, support students during break and lunchtime where required, maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with colleagues and external agencies, and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
• A passion for supporting students with a range of learning needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to support adaptive teaching strategies within the classroom
• A proactive, patient and positive attitude
• A willingness to contribute to the wider school community
