The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We have vacancies for experienced Roadworkers to join our existing operations team. The Roadworkers will report to Operations Supervisor and Operations Manager and will be responsible to help keeping Scotland moving.
This is a full-time role with Standby Rota and Overtime, including Nightshift.
Please note: Due to the nature of this role, successful candidates must be able to reach the depot within 30 minutes of being called out. This is essential to ensure timely response to operational needs.
Responsibilities and Activities
* The erection and removal of temporary signs and barriers (permanent signs and barriers).
* Preparation, application, compaction and removal of soils, rocks, coated and other materials.
* Installation and fixing of temporary/permanent road furniture.
* Operation of power tools, small plant and machinery.
* Driving vehicles including those with simple attachments such as tractors.
* Prepare written returns including fault report details.
* Responsibility for the health and safety of the public, colleagues and yourself.
* Participating in our winter and emergency response service on a standby rota basis.
* Winter maintenance duties which include fitting gritter body and blade, driving gritter and spread salt by hand if required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* A Full UK Driving Licence is essential; LGV Class C Licence is desirable
* Previous Experience in Roadworks or similar construction environment
* Willingness to undertake training and achieve competency across key aspects of the role
* Solid understanding of Health & Safety Regulations and a Commitment to safe working practices
* Ability to work in demanding outdoor conditions
* Experience operating small plant machinery and equipment
* Possession of relevant certifications in plant operation, traffic management, & Health & Safety is highly desirable.
