We are recruiting on behalf of a successful engineering and manufacturing business seeking a proactive Office Manager to work closely with the General Manager, supporting the day-to-day operation of the business.
This is far more than a traditional office management position. You'll play a key role across purchasing, planning, administration, supplier management and business operations, becoming an integral part of a busy manufacturing environment.
The Role
You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of office and operational processes, including:
* Purchasing materials and raising purchase orders.
* Liaising with suppliers and managing procurement activities.
* Supporting manufacturing and installation planning.
* Inventory and stock administration.
* Processing purchase orders, invoices and supporting debt collection.
* Managing holiday records, sickness and timesheets.
* Maintaining compliance documentation and production records.
* Supporting the General Manager with day-to-day business operations.
* Maintaining accurate reports, records and documentation.
* Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership and thrives in a busy engineering environment.
Ideally you'll have experience in:
* Office Management.
* Purchasing or procurement.
* Manufacturing or engineering administration.
* Planning or scheduling.
* Stock or inventory control.
* Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
* Purchase orders, invoicing and general finance administration.
* Working independently and managing multiple priorities.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
