Vacancy Title Business Development Manager

WHAT YOU’LL BE SELLING

Premium woodscrews, fixings and power-tool accessories built for the professional trade – plus an expanding range of accessories and fixing solutions. It’s a quality sell, where performance and reliability win the business and your product knowledge makes you a trusted partner to your customers.

YOUR PATCH

North West England, North Wales and Wales – including Manchester, Liverpool, Lancashire, Cheshire, North Wales, Mid Wales and South Wales.

Postcode areas: BB, BL, CF, CH, CW, FY, L, LD, LL, M, NP, OL, PR, SA, SY, WA and WN.

Field-based with regular customer visits, so you’ll ideally live within or close to the territory.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

* Grow an established portfolio of trade and merchant accounts

* Win new business and build a healthy pipeline across the territory

* Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, face to face

* Introduce new products and ranges to increase spend in existing accounts

* Quote, negotiate and close commercial opportunities

* Plan and run your own diary and territory

* Deliver against agreed sales targets

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

* Experience in Business Development, Area Sales, Territory Sales or Account Management

* A track record selling into builders’, timber or independent merchants, distributors or the professional trade

* The ability to grow existing accounts and hunt new business

* Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills

* Self-motivation and organisation – comfortable working independently in the field

* A full UK driving licence

Experience with fixings, fasteners, power-tool accessories or building products is a plus, but not essential. If you’re a strong B2B trade sales professional with the right attitude, we want to hear from you.
