How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.

Job description

The starting salary for this position is £31,659 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

We are excited to be recruiting Team Around the School Support Hub (TASSH) Assistants to provide dedicated customer support, data administration and routine performance information for Surrey's Team Around the School Support Hub, Experts at Hand and Placement Stability functions within the Early Intervention, Prevention and Support Service.

The role is based on a hybrid working model, combining home working, occasional office attendance and travel within the allocated locality and across Surrey as required.

About the Team

The Team Around the School Support Hub sits within Surrey's Early Intervention, Prevention and Support Service. We work alongside schools, settings, families and partner agencies to strengthen inclusion, build capacity and provide support at the earliest opportunity.

Through Surrey's developing Experts at Hand approach, we are enhancing Surrey's offer by creating stronger local connections around schools and settings. This enables timely support, coordinated responses and earlier intervention when needs emerge. Our focus is on helping children and young people access the right support at the right time by bringing together expertise, information and services around local communities.

As Surrey prepares for Local Government Reorganisation, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of integrated, locality-based services that will support future ways of working across the county.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative and evolving service that is strengthening how support is coordinated around schools, settings, children, young people and families across Surrey. Working alongside TASSH Cluster Coordinators and wider Early Intervention colleagues, you will play an important role in keeping systems, information, meetings and partnership activity organised, accurate and connected.

As a TASSH Assistant, you will provide dedicated customer support, data administration, routine management information and coordination support across Surrey's cluster model. Working closely with TASSH Cluster Coordinators and colleagues across Early Intervention and Prevention Services, you will play a key role in ensuring that systems, meetings, performance information, partnership activity and operational processes run smoothly and effectively.

In this varied role, your key responsibilities will include:

Coordinating meetings, events and partnership activity
Maintaining records, databases and tracking systems, and supporting referral and monitoring processes.
Producing, maintaining and presenting routine management information and standard reports
Supporting communication with schools, settings, partners and commissioned services
Maintaining action logs, outcome records and evidence of service activity
Acting as the first point of contact for routine enquiries and escalating more complex issues to senior colleagues when required
Providing administrative and data support across the TAS SH, Experts at Hand and Placement Stability functionsThis is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure and organisation to complex environments, takes pride in delivering high-quality support and is motivated by helping colleagues and partners work effectively to achieve positive outcomes.

Your Application

In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with our behaviours:

Experience of providing customer support, administration, coordination or data management in a busy service environment
Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
Confident using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Teams, to maintain information, prepare documents and support day-to-day coordination
Experience of maintaining records, databases or tracking systems and can produce accurate information to support routine reporting
Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals and partnersExperience within education, SEND, children's services, local government or another multi-agency environment would be advantageous, but we also welcome applications from candidates with strong transferable skills in business support, data administration, coordination, customer service and information management.
