How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.

Job description

This role has a starting salary of £ 48,698 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week. This is a fixed term contract / secondment opportunity until March 31st 2029.

We are looking for an experienced Reporting and Quality Assurance Officer to lead reporting, quality assurance and compliance for the WorkWell programme, helping to drive high-quality services and improve employment outcomes for residents across Surrey and Sussex.

The contractual base for this role is Woodhatch Place, Reigate. The role is hybrid, with at least one day a week at Woodhatch Place (usually Tuesdays), alongside regular travel across the Surrey & Sussex geography to attend meetings, workshops and events.

Surrey County Council has been appointed as the Lead Accountable Body for the delivery of the national WorkWell programme across the Surrey & Sussex Integrated Care Board (ICB) geography. WorkWell is a major Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) funded programme designed to support individuals experiencing health-related barriers to work, helping people remain in employment or return to work through integrated work, health and skills support.

This post is based within Surrey County Council's Economy & Growth service but will operate across the whole Surrey & Sussex ICB area.

About the Role

As Reporting & Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of the Surrey & Sussex WorkWell programme on behalf of the Surrey & Sussex ICB, with Surrey County Council as the Lead Accountable Body. Working across NHS, local government and wider partner organisations, you will lead programme reporting, governance, quality assurance and compliance arrangements, helping to ensure delivery remains on track, achieves agreed outcomes and meets all DWP requirements across Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove.

Reporting to the WorkWell Strategic Programme Manager, you will develop and implement robust reporting, assurance and evaluation frameworks; oversee programme performance, risk and compliance processes; and support financial and governance reporting to senior stakeholders. You will lead the rollout and continuous improvement of the programme's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, act as its expert user, and work closely with delivery partners to promote consistent, high-quality local delivery aligned to the wider Surrey & Sussex WorkWell framework.

Success in this role will contribute to a high-performing, financially robust and fully integrated WorkWell programme, underpinned by strong governance, effective partnership working and compliance with DWP grant conditions. Ultimately, you will help ensure the programme delivers positive employment and health outcomes, reduces inequalities and creates lasting impact for communities across Surrey and Sussex.

Experience of managing quality and assurance of large-scale employment, health or public service programmes within complex partnership environments.
Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively across NHS, local government and multi-agency partnerships to ensure a robust programme of reporting and quality assurance.
Experience of multiagency programme governance, performance management, reporting and quality assurance within a target-driven environment.
