The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of Fire, Life Safety, and Security projects across our portfolio. This is a varied, site-based role working across multiple projects or dedicated major sites depending on business needs.
Working alongside the Project Management team, you will oversee on-site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day site activities, subcontractors, and health & safety compliance
* Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and maintain accurate project documentation
* Review technical drawings, track design changes, and support project scheduling and budgets
* Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and support commissioning of Fire & Security systems
* Support system integration, cable testing, and end-user training
* Provide technical support to engineers and assist with mentoring junior team members
* Collaborate with project and engineering teams to improve processes and project delivery
* Ensure projects meet company standards and support handover to service teams
About You
* Experience in a similar Project Engineer role or a strong Fire & Security engineering background looking to progress
* Good understanding of Fire, Life Safety, and/or Security systems and industry standards
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
* Experience supervising subcontractors and working within fast-paced project environments
* Knowledge of system integration across multiple manufacturers is desirable
* First Aid qualification beneficial but not essential
