Ability is a specialist Housing Association supporting people with a disability to have choice and control over their lives. We provide accessible housing with support enabling people with disabilities to live independent lives as part of their community. As a Housing and Support Officer you will be managing a patch of approximately 120 self-contained homes, supporting people to live independently and achieve their aspirations through the provision of our intensive housing management service. This involves supporting people to manage their tenancy, budget management as well as developing peoples independent living skills. You will also be undertaking regular estate/scheme inspections ensuring our homes are safe and liaising with local authorities, support providers and local organisations to ensure our residents have the services and supports they need to live independently.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about supported housing and making a real difference. You may already be working in supported housing, housing management or care and support If you have either a housing management or support background with a ‘can do’ attitude, then we would love to hear from you.
