Disputes Lawyer – 4+ PQE - Hybrid
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Disputes Lawyer to join a fast-growing, sustainability-focused business on an initial 6+ month contract. The work is complex, high-value, and genuinely fascinating – perfect for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of large-scale disputes and working closely with senior stakeholders.
This role offers the chance to be at the centre of a number of major commercial disputes, each valued in the multi-millions, alongside several additional matters involving professional negligence, fraud, and joint venture issues.
Be part of a small, collaborative legal team and work closely with external counsel and leading City firms on intricate, document-light disputes that require a sharp legal mind and strong commercial judgement.
There’s also potential for the role to evolve into something longer term, with a non-contentious focus, depending on business needs and performance.
The Role
- Manage a portfolio of large-scale commercial disputes.
- Work closely with external counsel and KCs to progress complex litigation matters.
- Coordinate data collection and documentation across multiple parties.
- Support cases involving M&A, JVs, professional negligence and potential fraud.
- Provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal input in a fast-moving environment.
Requirements
- UK-qualified lawyer with 4+ years’ PQE in commercial disputes/litigation.
- Strong analytical skills and experience managing complex, multi-party matters.
- Ideally, some exposure to M&A or JV-related disputes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with senior, non-legal stakeholders.
- Happy to work in the office 2 days per week in Lincolnshire (overnight accommodation can be expensed).
