We are partnering with a rapidly growing financial services and fintech business to appoint an experienced Fractional HR Director during a pivotal stage of its growth.
Having gone through substantial growth in the last 12 months, the business now requires a senior HR leader who can initially take ownership of a complex employee relations and strategy reviewing HR processes, policies, and procedures and implementing best practice as well as building people strategy to support their ongoing growth trajectory.
The role
Your immediate priority will be to lead and resolve an immediate employee relation issue. As such, we are looking for someone with strong Employee Relations experience, who is comfortable navigating complex and sensitive situations at senior level and can provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice.
Once the immediate ER priority has been addressed, your remit will broaden considerably. You will work closely with the leadership team to:
Review and strengthen existing HR systems, processes and policies, ensuring they are fit for a growing organisation.
Identify gaps within the current people infrastructure and implement scalable, practical solutions.
Support the development of the wider people and growth strategy, ensuring HR is aligned with the organisation's commercial ambitions.
Advise on future organisational growth and change, including providing expertise around TUPE where required.
Provide senior-level BAU HR support and act as a trusted adviser to the leadership team.
Bring greater structure, consistency and maturity to the organisation's overall people approach.
About you
Significant experience handling complex ER matters, with the confidence to take ownership from day one.
Previous experience operating within a high-growth or scaling organisation, ideally having supported a business through a significant increase in headcount.
Experience establishing and improving HR systems, processes, policies and governance as an organisation matures.
Strong strategic capability, combined with a willingness to remain hands-on when needed.
Demonstrable TUPE experience.
A commercial and pragmatic approach, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Experience within financial services, fintech, professional services or another regulated environment beneficial, although not essential.
This would suit somebody who enjoys joining businesses at a point of significant change, solving immediate and complex people challenges, and then putting in place the foundations needed to support sustainable growth.
Day rate: £800–£1,200 per day, dependent on experience
