How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

With extensive industry experience and a strong focus on quality, reliability and technical expertise, the client has established a solid reputation within the fire protection sector.

The Role

The successful candidate will take ownership of quality assurance across multiple live projects, ensuring installations are delivered safely, compliantly and in accordance with approved designs, relevant British Standards, LPCB requirements, client specifications and our clients internal quality procedures.

* Carry out planned site inspections to monitor installation quality, workmanship and compliance.

* Create clear, accurate and comprehensive quality reports across all allocated projects for Director approval before formal issue to the relevant client.

* Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, British Standards, LPCB requirements and client requirements.

* Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, quality observations, defects and corrective actions.

* Identify non conformances and work closely with Project Managers, Design Engineers and Installation teams to ensure timely resolution.

* Work closely with Design, Commercial, Projects, Commissioning and Installation teams to drive consistent quality standards across the business.

* Review technical drawings, specifications, installation standards and project documentation.

* Attend site and client meetings and represent the company professionally at all times.

* Carry out internal quality audits and monitor compliance with company procedures and quality management systems.

* Proactively identify recurring quality issues, recommend improvements and implement corrective and preventative actions.

* Monitor workmanship standards across installation teams and subcontractors.

* Assist in preparing projects for client inspections, third-party inspections, LPCB audits and final handover.

* Support the continual improvement of company quality procedures, inspection records, quality documentation and best practice.

* Assist with maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, LPCB and other relevant accreditation requirements.

Key Requirements

* Strong technical knowledge of sprinkler and/or fire suppression systems.

* Previous experience within the sprinkler, water mist or wider fire protection industry.

* A sound understanding of quality assurance, inspections and technical compliance.

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple live projects.

* Strong reporting skills and the ability to collate detailed information from multiple projects into concise and accurate management reports.

* The ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

* A thorough understanding of relevant British Standards, LPCB requirements and recognised industry best practice.

* Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

* The confidence to liaise directly with clients, consultants, main contractors and installation teams.

* A proactive and detail-oriented approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
