Hours: Term time, 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Transparency Education is seeking two HLTAs in Lewisham who can bring clear explanations, good organisation and a positive presence to primary classrooms.
From leading a planned lesson to helping a small group master a difficult skill, you will play an active part in keeping learning on track. The role suits experienced support staff who are comfortable taking responsibility within an agreed teaching plan.
Responsibilities
• Lead planned lessons during teacher absence or release time
• Deliver targeted interventions linked to classroom learning
• Use questions and observations to check pupils’ understanding
• Maintain routines and adapt support for different abilities
• Give teachers concise feedback and contribute to next-step planning
Requirements
• HLTA status or demonstrable equivalent higher-level experience
• A strong background in primary classroom support
• Confidence managing a whole class and smaller groups
• An inclusive approach to behaviour and learning
• An enhanced DBS check appropriate to the role, or willingness to complete one.
