The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

About the Role:
They are seeking an experienced Lead Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to oversee and maintain internal quality assurance processes across their training and assessment provision.
The successful candidate will ensure that assessment decisions are fair, valid, reliable, and consistent, while maintaining compliance with awarding organisation requirements, including EAL, City & Guilds, ECITB, TWI, JTL (CompEx), and Pearson Edexcel Higher National Programmes. Responsibility for Apprenticeship End-Point Assessment quality assurance sits outside this role.
The Lead Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) will support IQAs, assessors, and trainers, promoting a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar quality assurance role within an educational or training environment, preferably within engineering.
Essential requirements include:
* A recognised IQA qualification, such as the Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (or equivalent)
* A recognised teaching qualification
* Engineering qualifications to a minimum of Level 3 in a relevant trade discipline
* Significant experience as an IQA within a training provider environment
* Strong knowledge of awarding organisation requirements and external quality assurance processes
* Experience leading standardisation activities and quality improvement initiatives
* Excellent technical, communication, and interpersonal skills
* At least five years' experience in a similar role
Location and Travel:
This role is based at their Hull site. Travel to other training centres will be required, therefore a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
