The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Support the delivery of category objectives aligned to the wider procurement strategy
Contribute to category and product group strategies to improve supply chain performance, reduce risk, and create competitive advantage
Analyse product ranges and routes to market to maximise value for customers and the organisation
Produce accurate reports by gathering and analysing data from multiple sources
Monitor market trends, innovations, and supplier developments to support decision-making
Support new product launches through insights into industry and consumer trends
Collate and analyse key data including cost drivers, market dynamics, and supplier options
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

A successful Category Manager should have:
Proven experience running end to end procurement within public sector.
Knowledge of PA23 and proven experience using the new regulations.
A strong understanding of category management principles and practices.
Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
Ideally experience with Hard FM, ICT and other indirects.
Excellent analytical skills to interpret market data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
