The Role
As Pre-Construction Director, you will lead and manage the entire pre-construction function, ensuring successful project acquisition, client engagement, and bid delivery. This is a strategic leadership role requiring a commercially astute individual who excels at building relationships and securing high-value opportunities.
You will be the key link between clients, commercial teams, and operational delivery, ensuring that projects are set up for success from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the pre-construction team, driving performance and best practice
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, and stakeholders
* Oversee tendering, estimating, and bid strategy for all incoming opportunities
* Identify and secure new business opportunities within the passive fire protection sector
* Ensure all bids are commercially viable, technically sound, and aligned with company objectives
* Collaborate closely with operations to ensure smooth transition from pre-construction to delivery
* Provide strategic input into business growth and market positioning
About You
* Proven experience in a senior pre-construction or estimating leadership role
* Strong background within Passive Fire Protection or wider construction sectors
* Exceptional client-facing skills with the ability to win and retain business
* Demonstrable experience managing complex tenders and securing high-value projects
* Commercially astute with strong negotiation and strategic thinking abilities
* A natural leader capable of developing and inspiring teams
