General Operative (2 Positions) – Data Centre Project

About the Role
Pentagon Technical Services is currently recruiting 2 General Operatives to support a major data centre construction project in Lisbon, Portugal.
This is a 14-week contract. You will work alongside experienced construction teams, assisting with general site duties to help ensure the safe and efficient delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out general labouring duties across the construction site.
* Assist skilled trades, supervisors, and site management with daily activities.
* Load, unload, move, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment.
* Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and keep work areas clean and organised.
* Support with waste management and site cleanliness.
* Assist with deliveries and material handling.
* Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
* Work safely at all times, following Health & Safety procedures and site regulations.
* Wear and maintain the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Carry out any other general site duties as required.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a General Operative, Labourer, or Construction Operative is preferred.
* Experience working on construction, industrial, or commercial projects is advantageous.
* Good physical fitness and ability to carry out manual handling tasks.
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Good awareness of Health & Safety practices on construction sites.
Desirable
* Previous experience working on data centre or mission-critical projects.
* Valid Health & Safety certification.
* Basic English communication skills.
