The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
KBM Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy workshop team in Kintore. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical background who enjoys hands on work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, assembling and testing a range of mechanical equipment, ensuring all assets are serviced, compliant and ready for operational use.
Key Responsibilities
* Dismantle, inspect, repair, refurbish and reassemble equipment.
* Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
* Complete routine servicing, preventative maintenance and testing.
* Carry out pressure testing and functional checks where required.
* Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
* Support the mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment.
* Safely operate workshop tools, machinery and lifting equipment.
* Assist with general workshop duties, including loading and unloading equipment.
* Support stores and stock control activities when required.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards within the workshop.
* Work in line with company procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
About You
* NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience).
* Previous experience in a mechanical fitting or workshop environment.
* Good understanding of mechanical maintenance and fault finding.
* Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
