As a Residential Support Worker / Key Worker / Therapeutic Practitioner, you will provide emotional and practical support to young people who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), providing a secure, nurturing and therapeutic home environment.
This full-time role offers a salary range of £16.00 - £17.50 per hour plus £60 per sleep-in and benefits. We are open to considering candidates on a Permanent, Temp-to-Perm, or Temporary basis.
You will be responsible for:
* Building positive relationships with young people and acting as a consistent, professional role model.
* Providing therapeutic and relational support to help young people manage emotional, developmental and behavioural needs.
* Supporting the delivery and review of individual care plans, risk assessments and support strategies.
* Maintaining appropriate routines, boundaries and structures to encourage positive behaviours and personal development.
* Supporting young people with daily living skills, education, health appointments and community activities.
* Completing accurate records, daily notes, incident reports and other required documentation.
* Supporting safeguarding practices and responding appropriately to challenging situations.
What we are looking for:
* Previously worked as a Residential Support Worker, Support Worker, Keyworker, Care worker, Care Assistant, Residential Therapeutic Practitioner, Childcare Worker, Childcare Practitioner, Therapeutic Practitioner or in a similar role.
* Approx. 2 years of experience working within a children’s residential home environment.
* Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (NVQ/QCF or equivalent)
* Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs and/or complex trauma
* Strong record-keeping skills and the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Right to work in the UK.
Shift:
* 2 days on / 4 days off rota
* Includes 2 sleep-ins per working cycle
* Weekend and bank holiday availability required
