The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are recruiting for an EC&I Work Pack Engineer to support the delivery of Highview Power's pioneering 50MW / 300MWh Liquid Air Energy Storage (LAES) Facility in Carrington, Greater Manchester.
This first-of-a-kind (FOAK) project will play a key role in supporting the UK's Net Zero ambitions through long-duration energy storage. Using innovative LAES technology, renewable energy is stored as liquid air and released when required to generate electricity.
The Opportunity
As an EC&I Work Pack Engineer, you will be responsible for developing EC&I Installation Work Packs (IWPs) submitted by the client, in the form of Construction Work Packs (CWPs). These work packs will provide clear execution guidance for site teams while supporting project planning, progress measurement, safety compliance, and successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop EC&I Installation Work Packs that meet technical, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
Ensure work packs contain all required drawings, specifications, procedures, and material information
Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers, and Site Teams to plan and schedule work activities
Coordinate with Procurement and Materials teams to ensure resources are available ahead of execution
Identify and mitigate potential project risks, delays, and safety concerns
Provide regular progress updates and escalate issues where appropriate
Attend client and project meetings as required.
About You
Minimum 5 years' experience within EC&I engineering, construction, or maintenance environments
At least 2 years' experience producing Work Packs for project execution
CCNSG Safety Passport (Essential)
HNC/HND in an EC&I discipline, recognised apprenticeship, or equivalent industry experience
Proficiency with MS Office and Navisworks 2024
