Civil 3D Modeller / Technician

First People Solutions is working with a highly regarded multidisciplinary consulting engineer that is looking to add a Civil 3D Modeller to its growing Highways team in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding team delivering a diverse range of highways and transportation projects across the UK. You'll play a key role in developing high-quality 3D models and design information for highway infrastructure schemes, working closely with engineers and various teams from concept through to detailed design and construction.

The Role

Produce Civil 3D models and drawings for highways and associated infrastructure projects
Develop alignments, profiles, corridors, surfaces, cross sections and earthworks models
Support the coordination of highway drainage and multidisciplinary design information
Work closely with engineers to deliver accurate, buildable design solutions from concept through to detailed design
Maintain high-quality drawing and modelling standards while supporting and mentoring junior team members

Requirements

HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, CAD or equivalent
4-8 years' experience working within a design engineering environment
Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D
Experience producing models and drawings for highways or transportation infrastructure projects
Good understanding of highway geometry, levels, drainage coordination and general civil engineering principles
