The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Production Planner to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will ensure all customer product orders are fulfilled on time and in full, whilst effectively managing workload, materials, and tooling for all build demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and review MRP requirements before placing orders
Work closely with the Supply Chain to ensure timely purchase requisitions and material deliveries
Monitor job status in collaboration with production and procurement teams
Provide regular project updates, stock and order information to commercial, support, and project management teams
Ensure system compliance with relevant change notices and current build status alongside Engineering teams
Support end of month cycle counting, WIP reporting, and material audits with Finance
Identify and assist with MRP material planning business improvement activities
Act as a back-up for the Manufacturing Manager when required

Person Specification:
Education and Qualifications:
Degree qualification is preferred
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
A-Level education (or equivalent) in relevant subjects
Strong computer-based literacy
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Experience as a planner in a manufacturing environment
Proficient with MRP tools (knowledge of SAP or IFS is advantageous)
Excellent communication skills
Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
Experience managing small to medium-sized manufacturing teams is an advantage
