About our Nursery
Busy Bees ExCel, rated Good by Ofsted, accommodates 107 children across five well-equipped rooms, each designated for a specific age group. Each room has access to its own secure and spacious garden, allowing children to freely flow in and out, providing ample space to develop their motor and physical skills. We offer additional options such as swimming and music classes, as well as children's haircuts. Daily activities are tailored to the individual interests and developmental needs of each child, promoting their wellbeing and understanding their unique requirements. Our nursery provides a fun and safe environment for children to learn, enjoy, and grow. Conveniently located just a five-minute walk from either Royal Victoria or Custom House stations (DLR and Elizabeth Line), we are right in front of the ExCel Convention and Exhibition Centre. Role Responsibilities: What to Expect as a Senior Nursery Room Leader:
Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms.
Lead the planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children.
Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team.
Oversee the wellbeing and safeguarding of children, making necessary adaptations to support children with additional needs.
Foster strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding protocols across the centre.
Required Qualifications: Ideal Candidate:
Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
