How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Reporting to: Deputy Headteacher
    The Role
    Our client is seeking a dedicated and resilient Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their specialist therapeutic primary provision.
    This is a unique opportunity to work within a nurturing educational environment that supports pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education or are currently not attending school. The role combines high-quality teaching with a strong focus on pastoral care, underpinned by therapeutic approaches to behaviour and learning.

    Key Responsibilities
    The Key Stage 2 Teacher will:
    * Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
    * Deliver a broad, engaging curriculum using nurturing and therapeutic approaches
    * Differentiate teaching to support neurodiverse learners and those with complex needs
    * Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, providing regular updates to senior leaders
    * Develop schemes of work and creative learning projects to promote engagement
    * Work closely with specialist support staff to implement individual education and behaviour plans
    * Support interventions to improve pupil outcomes and engagement
    * Promote literacy and numeracy development across all areas of learning
    * Use positive reinforcement and consistent behaviour strategies to support pupils
    * Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
    * Ensure safeguarding, risk assessments, and health and safety procedures are followed
    About the Pupils
    Pupils within this provision often have complex needs, including neurodiversity and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Many will have experienced disrupted education, including exclusion or prolonged absence from school.
    The provision focuses on rebuilding trust in education through strong relationships, consistency, and a highly personalised approach to learning.
    Candidate Profile
    The ideal candidate will be a committed and adaptable teacher with a strong interest in therapeutic education.
    Key requirements:
    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
    * Experience teaching Key Stage 2 pupils
    * Experience supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEMH and/or autism (desirable)
    * Strong understanding of inclusive and differentiated teaching practices
    Key skills and attributes:
    * Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
    * A calm, consistent, and nurturing approach to behaviour management
    * Strong communication and teamwork skills
    * Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment
    * Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
    The Organisation’s Approach
    Our client delivers education through a therapeutic model, combining strong pastoral care with structured, consistent teaching practices. Their approach is built on:
    * Understanding neurodiversity and attachment
    * Using relationships to support recovery and engagement
    * Viewing behaviour as communication
    * Promoting emotional literacy and life skills
    * Delivering inclusive, strengths-based education
    What’s on Offer
    * A supportive and collaborative working environment
    * Opportunities for professional development and training
    * A rewarding role with the opportunity to make a real difference
    * A varied and engaging position where no two days are the same
