The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

They are continuing to grow and are looking for a talented Civil Engineering Technician to join their friendly, collaborative team.
Role
As a Civil Engineering Technician, you’ll support engineers in the design and delivery of a wide range of civil engineering projects. You will work closely with colleagues, clients, architects, and contractors, helping to produce accurate technical drawings and contributing to the smooth delivery of each project.

Responsibilities
Produce high‑quality Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or similar CAD drawings for highways, drainage, and infrastructure designs
Assist with the preparation of Drainage Strategies, Flood Risk Assessments, and Highway Design Packages
Support engineers with project documentation, calculations, and reports
Work across multiple projects, ensuring accuracy and meeting key deadlines
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
Maintain project files and ensure all work follows company standards and industry regulations
About you
We’re looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, strong technical skills, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
Essential:
Experience in a civil engineering technician role (consultancy experience preferred)
Proficiency with AutoCAD (and ideally Civil 3D or MicroDrainage)
Good understanding of UK drainage and highway design standards
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workload effectively
Excellent communication and teamworking skills
Desirable:
HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Experience preparing S104, S38 or S278 drawings
Knowledge of SuDS and current UK legislation
