About the role:
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will provide day to day care, emotional support, and positive role modelling within a residential care setting.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people.
* Support daily routines, education, and independence.
* Help young people manage emotions and behaviours safely.
* Work closely with the wider care team to deliver consistent, high quality care.
* Provide a calm and reliable presence during both positive and challenging situations.
* Be a steady, caring presence - someone they can count on.
What you'll need:
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* A minimum of 6 months of full-time paid UK care experience in the last 3 years
* At least 3 months’ experience working with children or young people (in the last 3 years)
* Relevant registration for applicants in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland (e.g. SSSC, SCW, NISCC) – not required in England
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
