How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Whether you're an experienced Residential Care Worker looking for your next challenge, or someone with experience in education, support work or care looking to build a rewarding career, we'd love to hear from you.

    This is an opportunity to join a supportive, values-led organisation where staff development is genuinely prioritised, and where every day brings the chance to make a lasting impact on a young person's future.

    * Promoting safeguarding and well-being at all times

    * Contributing to care planning and record keeping

    No two days are the same. One day might involve supporting evening routines and independent living skills, while the next could include trips to the cinema, bowling, local attractions or other community-based activities.

    There are a number of rota options available, including:

    A two-week rolling rota including evenings, sleep-ins and alternate weekends

    Monday to Friday shifts across morning and afternoon/evening hours

    Full details will be discussed during the interview process.

    What's on Offer?

    * Up to 13 weeks' holiday per year (rare within the care sector)

    * Paid sleep-in opportunities

    * Fully funded qualifications and professional development
