Cameron James Professional Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with one of Manchester's leading estate agency and financial services businesses to recruit an ambitious Hybrid Mortgage Advisor / Hybrid Mortgage Broker to join their successful team covering Manchester City Centre and Salford Quays.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a fully qualified Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker looking to maximise earnings while benefiting from an established, high-performing estate agency network that consistently generates a large volume of mortgage business. Working within one of the busiest property markets in the North West, you will have access to a constant stream of high-quality leads, allowing you to focus on advising clients rather than generating business.
Initially, you will work from the office three to four days per week, enabling you to build strong relationships with estate agency teams and maximise referral opportunities. Once established, you will enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working while continuing to benefit from an excellent pipeline of appointments.
As a Mortgage Advisor, you can expect to receive around 20–25 qualified mortgage appointments per month, with realistic expectations of converting 8–10 mortgage applications each month. Average mortgage case sizes are approximately £1,800, with average property values of around £220,000 and luxury apartments reaching values of £600,000. Protection business is a key part of the role, with advisers regularly achieving 70%+ protection conversion rates, significantly increasing overall earnings.
The successful Mortgage Broker will provide whole-of-market mortgage and protection advice to a wide range of clients, conducting appointments face-to-face, over the telephone and via video. You will manage your own pipeline, maintain excellent customer service throughout the mortgage journey, and build lasting relationships with estate agency colleagues to ensure a continuous flow of referrals.
Candidates should hold CeMAP (or equivalent) qualifications and possess Competent Adviser Status (CAS) with previous experience as a Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker. Estate agency experience would be advantageous, although advisers from other whole-of-market or bank-based environments will also be considered. You should be highly motivated, commercially driven, professional in your approach, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer outcomes.
For employed advisers, the package includes a basic salary of up to £35,000 (including car allowance), uncapped commission, monthly bonus opportunities, pension, death-in-service benefits and full mortgage administration support. Self-employed advisers can benefit from 70% commission on self-generated business and 45% commission on company-generated leads, together with full compliance and administrative support.
