Senior Bid Manager

Hybrid – Waltham Abbey (2-3 days in the office)

£7,000 - £85,000 Basic + Car Allowance + Bonus + Package

On offer is the opportunity to join a growing compliance and property services contractor operating across social housing and public sector frameworks. This is a key hire within the business, with a clear mandate to improve structure, quality and overall win rates.

Enjoy working in this Senior Bid Manager position where you will have real influence across the work-winning function, bridging the gap between Business Development and the Bid team. You will be given autonomy and trust to drive improvements in both process and strategy, within a business that is investing heavily in its growth across electrical compliance, planned maintenance and decarbonisation works.

My client operates across social housing, delivering essential services including electrical compliance, maintenance and upgrade works for housing associations and local authorities. They require a Senior Bid Manager to take ownership of the bid function, improve submission quality, and support the development of a small but growing team. A strong long-term opportunity on offer for someone looking to step into a role where they can make a visible impact and shape how bids are delivered.

Your Duties:
• Take full ownership of the bid process, managing opportunities from qualification through to submission across social housing compliance and electrical frameworks
• Work closely with the Head of Business Development to develop bid strategy and win themes
• Improve bid processes, governance and overall submission quality across the function
• Mentor and support a small team (Bid Manager, Bid Writer & Bid Coordinator), raising standards and consistency
• Lead on the production of high-quality written content and ensure submissions are aligned with client requirements
• Coordinate internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver compelling, compliant tender responses
• Review tender documentation, identify risks and opportunities, and support bid decision-making

Requirements:
• Strong experience in Bid Management within social housing, property services, compliance or M&E environments
• Proven ability to manage bids end-to-end and contribute to win strategy
• Ability to influence stakeholders and improve bid processes
• Willing to commute to Waltham Abbey 3 days per week
