The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We're working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded law firm to recruit a Family Solicitor (0–5 PQE) to join its growing Family Law team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor or an experienced Family Solicitor looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment. The Role
You'll manage your own caseload of family matters while receiving support and supervision where required. The role offers exposure to a broad range of privately funded family work, providing the opportunity to build strong client relationships and deliver high-quality legal advice.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters.
* Advising clients on divorce, separation and financial remedy proceedings.
* Handling private children matters, including child arrangements and parental responsibility disputes.
* Advising on cohabitation disputes and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
* Drafting legal documents, court applications and correspondence.
* Representing clients throughout their matter and liaising with counsel, courts and third parties where appropriate.
* Maintaining high standards of client care and ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm procedures.
* Supporting business development activities and helping to strengthen the firm's presence within the local market.
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with between 0 and 5 years' PQE.
* Previous experience handling family law matters gained during training or post-qualification.
* Experience of private family law, including divorce, finances and children matters.
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
* A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
* Commercial awareness and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional client service
