They are looking for an experienced logistics professional who enjoys solving problems, building relationships and taking ownership from enquiry through to successful delivery.
The role
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for designing and delivering transport solutions for customers with complex logistics requirements.
Working closely with customers, transport partners and internal teams, you will oversee each movement from quotation through to delivery, ensuring every solution is commercially viable, operationally efficient and delivered to the highest standard.
This is not a role where you simply process bookings. You will analyse every requirement, overcome challenges, influence others and build solutions that work for everyone involved.
- Manage customer enquiries and develop tailored logistics solutions.
- Produce accurate and commercially competitive quotations.
- Source and negotiate with transport providers across the United Kingdom and Europe.
- Manage consignments from quotation through to successful delivery.
- Monitor live movements and resolve operational issues before they impact customers.
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and transport partners.
- Influence internal teams and external providers to achieve the best outcome.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes through technology and automation.
- Support the continued development of innovative logistics solutions.
The candidate:
- Experience within transport, logistics or freight forwarding.
- A strong understanding of road freight operations throughout the United Kingdom and Europe.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- The ability to influence customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
