Are you looking for a rewarding role in a fantastic primary school where you'll feel genuinely valued, supported and inspired?
Premier Education is thrilled to be recruiting a passionate and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a wonderful, forward-thinking primary school in Wigan.
This is a brilliant opportunity to become part of a school that prides itself on its warm, welcoming atmosphere, supportive staff team and commitment to providing the very best learning experiences for its pupils.
With a collaborative approach to teaching, a positive school ethos and a genuine focus on both pupil and staff wellbeing, this is the kind of school where you can really feel part of something special!
Whether you're an experienced HLTA looking for your next challenge, a qualified teacher hoping to enjoy classroom life without the additional pressures of a full teaching role, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to build confidence and experience in a supportive environment, we would love to hear from you!
The Role
As a HLTA, you'll play an important part in the daily life of the school, working alongside a fantastic team of teachers and support staff to deliver engaging and inspiring learning experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering planned lessons and providing whole-class cover across the primary age range.
Supporting pupils to achieve their potential in a positive and nurturing environment.
Leading engaging small-group activities and targeted interventions.
Working collaboratively with teaching staff to maintain high standards of learning and behaviour.
Encouraging confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning.
Becoming a valued and trusted member of the wider school community.
Who Would Be Perfect for This Role?
We would particularly welcome applications from:
Qualified HLTAs who are confident leading classes and are looking for a welcoming school where their skills and experience will be appreciated.
Qualified Teachers who love working with children but are seeking a better work-life balance and a role with less planning, marking and additional classroom responsibility.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who would love the opportunity to develop their classroom management skills, gain valuable experience and build their confidence before taking on their own class.
Above all, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a genuine passion for education and the ability to build fantastic relationships with children and colleagues.
What Makes This Opportunity Special?
A genuinely welcoming school community where teamwork, kindness and mutual support are at the heart of everyday school life.
A forward-thinking and progressive approach to education, with a focus on creating engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
A fantastic, supportive staff team who work together, share ideas and celebrate successes.
A positive and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to flourish and staff feel valued.
A rewarding, long-term opportunity to really get to know the pupils, build relationships and make a lasting difference.
An excellent stepping stone for ECTs or a refreshing change of pace for experienced teachers seeking a different balance.
