ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lewisham seeking a Year 5 Primary Teacher to join their team from September. This full-time, long-term position offers the opportunity to take on full teaching responsibilities for a well-established Year 5 class within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The school is known for its strong leadership team and positive staff culture, creating an environment where teachers are supported to deliver high-quality teaching and achieve strong pupil outcomes.
This Year 5 Primary Teacher role in Lewisham would suit experienced Primary Teachers or confident ECTs looking to further develop their practice within Upper Key Stage 2.
Key Responsibilities of Year 5 Primary Teacher:
Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Plan, prepare and assess engaging lessons tailored to Year 5 pupils.
Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment and behaviour.
Support pupils’ social, emotional and personal development.
Contribute to wider school responsibilities including meetings and parent communication.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential).
Be a confident ECT or experienced teacher within Key Stage 2.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment and behaviour.
Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with staff and families.
