The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Role: Shift Engineer - Electrical Bias

Working Pattern: 4 on / 4 off - 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights)
About the Role
Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting a leading steel manufacturer in the search for a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to join their Engineering Team
This is a key role within a high-performing department where you'll support the delivery of essential maintenance activities across a highly automated and heavy industrial facility.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver proactive and reactive maintenance across a wide range of electrical systems
Support production through timely response to equipment faults and breakdowns
Contribute to inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance strategies
Operate in line with site safety protocols and statutory compliance requirements
Collaborate with Day Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure maintenance excellence
Maintain accurate records using modern computerised maintenance systems (e.g. SAP)
Lead a team of 6 technicians What We're Looking For
A recognised apprenticeship and qualifications in Electrical Engineering
Minimum HNC Qualified
Proven experience in a heavy industrial setting, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
A strong understanding of fault finding, breakdown recovery and preventative maintenance
Excellent communication skills, a team mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement
Flexibility to work shifts and respond to the changing needs of the operation *Certificate evidence will be required at interview.
