Key Responsibilities:
* Devise and execute the strategic Asset Management Strategy, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and Decent Homes Standard requirements.
* Oversee responsive repairs, maintenance, void management, and continuous improvement across all property assets.
* Lead on environmental sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives, driving energy efficiency and retrofit programmes.
* Manage property and income collection services (c. £10m), minimising arrears through digital transformation and collaboration with housing teams.
* Maintain accurate asset management data, risk assessment frameworks, and assurance reporting for senior stakeholders and the Executive Board.
* Provide leadership to the asset management team (Workforce: 21, Budget: c. £1.5M) as part of the Extended Leadership Team.
Your Experience:
* MCIOB and/or CIH level 4 or 5 qualified (or working towards Chartered membership).
* Significant experience in social housing or a similar asset-based sector, with a proven track record in senior leadership.
* Substantial experience delivering strategic asset management, compliance frameworks, and maintenance/repairs services.
* Strong background in income collection, welfare benefits, and financial budget management.
* Proven ability in contractor management, staff development, and driving digital/IT improvements.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to analyse technical and financial data.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car for site visits across Sussex and Surrey.
