Knutsford | £30,000–£35,000 FTE | Approx. 3 days per week | Temporary to Permanent
I’m recruiting on behalf of a growing business based in Knutsford that is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join its team on a part-time basis.
The position will initially be offered on a temporary basis, with the intention of moving to a permanent contract quickly. The role is expected to be around 3 days per week, with flexibility around working hours.
Reporting to the Head of Payroll/HR, you will take responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of both weekly and monthly payrolls.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and within agreed deadlines
* Updating the payroll database and time management system with starter and leaver information
* Processing Tax, NI, SSP and SMP payments and deductions
* Maintaining accurate and confidential employee personnel and payroll records
* Responding to payroll, pay and attendance queries from colleagues
* Ensuring payroll information is accurate, up to date and compliant
* Supporting the wider Payroll/HR function as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* A minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience
* Strong practical payroll knowledge
* Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills – essential
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* The confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
* The ability to work independently, prioritise your workload and meet deadlines
* Experience of Sage 50 would be beneficial
As the position is initially temporary, you should be available to start at short notice.

Salary: £30,000–£35,000 FTE, depending on experience
Hours: Approximately 3 days per week, with flexibility around working hours
