All about the role

To support the efficient operation of the production function by coordinating plans, processing orders, managing incoming loads and providing accurate administrative support across production, sales and logistics. The hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, maintain and update production plans and schedules in line with customer demand, available capacity and delivery requirements.
Monitor production progress, identify potential delays and communicate priorities or changes to relevant teams.
Liaise with Production, Sales, Transport and Warehouse colleagues to support the smooth flow of work.
Process and manage intergroup sales orders, ensuring pricing, quantities, delivery dates and documentation are accurate.
Release production orders within the relevant system in accordance with the agreed schedule and material availability.
Check order information before release and resolve any missing or conflicting data with the appropriate department.
Build and coordinate incoming loads, recording expected deliveries and ensuring load details are communicated to Warehouse and Production teams.
Maintain accurate records for incoming materials, production orders, stock movements and delivery documentation.
Carry out production programming, entering and maintaining job, machine or process instructions within company systems.
Ensure programmes and production data reflect current specifications, priorities and required completion dates.
Produce and distribute production paperwork, reports, schedules, labels and supporting documentation as required.
Complete general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, document control, email correspondence and responding to internal queries.
Maintain high standards of data accuracy and confidentiality across all systems and records.
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify administrative processes and improve production efficiency.
Comply with company procedures, health and safety requirements and quality standards at all times.
Undertake other reasonable duties required to support the Production and Operations teams.

Skills and Attributes

Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Confident working with multiple departments and managing changing priorities.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to learn production planning and programming systems.
Proactive, dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Calm and methodical when working to deadlines in a busy manufacturing environment.
