A supportive and inclusive SEN School in Tilehurst is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH needs, learning difficulties, communication difficulties, and complex needs.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work alongside experienced Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and specialist support staff to ensure every pupil receives the individual support they need.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role will involve:
Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
Supporting pupils with learning, communication, and social development
Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and important life skills
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environmentThis SEN Teaching Assistant position would suit someone with previous experience working with children or young people with SEN. However, the school would also welcome applications from compassionate and motivated individuals who are looking to begin or develop their career within specialist education.
