How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a resilient and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant looking for a rewarding new role in Reading?

    Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people who may experience behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties?

    A supportive and inclusive Specialist School in Reading is looking for an enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

    As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work with pupils who may present with challenging behaviour and a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, anxiety, and learning difficulties. You will provide individualised support to help pupils develop positive behaviour strategies and improve their emotional regulation.

    The successful Behaviour Support Assistant will work alongside experienced Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and pastoral staff to create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment for every pupil.

    This Behaviour Support Assistant role will involve:

    Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
    Helping to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
    Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
    Supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroomThis Behaviour Support Assistant role would be ideal for someone with experience working with children, young people, SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviour.
