Start date: September 2026We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Islington to support pupils within year 6.
The Role
In this Part-Time Teaching Assistant role, you will work as part of the Year 6 team, providing support across all classes as needed.
You will work closely with class teachers to enhance pupils’ learning, either in small groups or on an individual basis. Your role will involve ensuring pupils understand the tasks set, are clear on their learning objectives, and remain focused so they can make progress.
Working alongside class teachers, you will assist with preparing learning resources and lead small group sessions in English, maths, and reading. You will primarily support children who require additional help during lessons, including working with small groups and supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
You will need strong English and maths skills, with a GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in both subjects.
