We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Art & Design Technology Teacher to join our team from September on a part-time, ongoing basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring teacher who is passionate about developing students' creativity, practical skills, and confidence in Art and Design Technology.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art and Design Technology lessons in line with the curriculum.
Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Support students of varying abilities and learning needs.
Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
Prepare and organise materials, equipment, and resources for practical lessons.
Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures within workshops and art studios.
Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and school events as required.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology at secondary school level.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative education.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable
Experience teaching across a range of year groups.
Knowledge of current curriculum requirements and assessment practices.
Ability to teach both Art and Design Technology disciplines.
