HGV Vehicle Technician

Location: Strood

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 40 Hours per Week + Overtime

The Opportunity

* Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a well-established commercial vehicle organisation that is looking to add an experienced HGV Vehicle Technician to its busy workshop team in Strood.

Key Responsibilities

* Diagnose faults and carry out vehicle testing

* Service, maintain and repair heavy commercial vehicles and components

* Identify and report defects or potential mechanical issues

* Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately

* Ensure all work is completed to high safety and quality standards

Requirements

* Previous experience working on HGVs or heavy commercial vehicles

* NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

* Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous)

* Good computer literacy skills

* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities

* Excellent attention to detail

* Ability to work well under pressure

* Positive team-player attitude

* Flexibility to work overtime when required
