An established metal fabrication and manufacturing company in County Durham is recruiting a Setter Operator to join their production team.
As Setter Operator, you will set, programme and operate punch and press machinery, working to design specifications and quality standards. This is a hands on Setter Operator position within a busy production environment, working closely with your Team Leader to hit agreed targets.
What you'll be doing
* Setting, programming and operating punch and press machinery
* Working to engineering drawings and required quality standards
* Meeting individual and team production targets in line with agreed dates
* Carrying out TPM on machinery and liaising with leadership on repairs
* Completing safety checks and documentation in line with company standards
* Contributing ideas on new working methods and manufacturing practices
* Supporting other production areas as required
* Maintaining a safe, tidy working environment in line with 5S principles
What we're looking for
* NVQ Level 2 in Machine Operations, or equivalent practical experience
* Over three years in a relevant industry, operating punch and press machinery
* Good attention to detail and a solid grasp of maths and engineering drawings
* Experience of Lean working practices
* A flexible, team focused approach
