Location: Medway Council
Pay/Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum
Office Working: 2 Days per week
Contract: Permanent
We are currently working with Medway Council to find an experienced Social Worker for their Localities Team in the Children’s Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, Medway are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their service.
Medway are also offering a healthy relocation bonus of £8,000 and a market supplement of £5000
A retention payment of £2000 is also included in your salary after a year of service
Duties
Completing Child and Family Assessments for children with disabilities
Undertaking assessments of children’s needs, including complex and high-level support needs
Working closely with children, young people, parents and carers to identify appropriate support and services
Completing Section 17 assessments and safeguarding enquiries where necessary
Managing a varied caseload and working in a fast-paced team
Working collaboratively with education, health, SEN and other partner agencies
Participating in strategy meetings and multi-agency meetings where necessary
Developing and reviewing support plans to ensure children’s needs are being met
Assessing the needs of families and identifying appropriate packages of support and interventions
Promoting positive outcomes, independence and improved quality of life for children with disabilities
What you need
Social Work Qualification
Social Work England registration
Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
