The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We're looking for a Land Referencer or Senior Land Referencer to join a rapidly expanding Land Referencing team working on nationally significant infrastructure projects. You'll work across a wide range of utilities and infrastructure schemes - from small solar projects to major reservoir, energy and transport programmes - supporting the delivery of high‑quality land referencing for DCOs, CPOs and TWAOs.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Overseeing and quality‑assuring data entered into the ownership database
Developing and applying land referencing methodologies and processes
Overseeing teams and processes used for site visits
Interpreting and analysing land and title data
Reviewing complex title documents and integrating findings into Book of Reference schedules
Liaising closely with GIS and project delivery teams
Attending client meetings and providing progress updates
Reporting to clients and internal teams on project status
🎓 What We're Looking For
Essential
Degree in Geography, Land Surveying, or a related land discipline
Proven experience in land referencing on major projects (DCO/CPO/TWAO)
Ability to manage multiple projects and team members simultaneously
Strong communication skills with confidence engaging internal teams, clients and landowners
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
People management experience
Experience using mobile data collection tools
Knowledge of GIS systems and FME
