TeacherActive is proud to be working with a children's residential home in Newcastle that is committed to providing a safe, supportive and child-centred environment for children and young people. The home supports a mix of age groups with SEMH, EBD, ADHD and learning difficulties, placing a strong emphasis on positive outcomes, stability and high standards of care.
The home is looking to appoint a Children's Home Registered Manager on a long-term basis with permanent opportunities available. The successful Children's Home Registered Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the home, leading and developing the staff team, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, and delivering exceptional care that meets the individual needs of every young person.
The successful Children's Home Registered Manager will have:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards if appropriate)
Previous experience managing or deputising within a children's residential home
Experience supporting children and young people with SEMH, EBD, ADHD and learning difficulties
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children's home legislation
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
A child-focused approach with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team
