Plumber

Branta Recruitment is partnering with an established, rapidly expanding mechanical installation specialist to recruit a Commercial Installation Plumber who is eager to retrain and transition into a specialist Air Conditioning & HVAC Installation Engineer.

If you are a skilled commercial plumber who enjoys heavy pipework, press-fit, and plant room installs, but wants to diversify your skills, earn your F-Gas ticket, and build a long-term career in cooling and air conditioning, this is the perfect opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out commercial pipework installations, including copper (crimp/solder), steel, and plastic systems for commercial mechanical systems.

*

Work alongside senior HVAC engineers to install air conditioning equipment, including split systems, VRV/VRF units, AHUs, and associated pipework/containment.

*

Learn and apply brazing techniques, pressure testing, and system evacuation procedures under supervision.

*

Assist with plant room fit-outs, pump sets, drainage, and condensate pipework runs.

*

Maintain clean, safe working environments across active commercial construction and refurbishment sites nationwide.

*

Be prepared to travel nationwide, working away during the week with comfortable accommodation and meal allowances provided.

Requirements:

*

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or time-served commercial plumbing equivalent).

*

Solid experience in commercial pipework installation (Mapress/press-fit, copper, steel, condensate lines, etc.).

*

Genuine enthusiasm and ambition to cross-train into Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.

*

Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

*

Flexibility to travel and stay away from home nationwide during the week as required by project schedules.

*

CSCS / Skillcard holder (essential).
