Supply teaching allows you to work around your own availability while gaining experience across a selection of primary schools. You may be covering for staff absence, supporting schools during busy periods or stepping into a class for a short-term booking.
We're looking for teachers who can quickly settle into a new school, establish positive relationships with pupils and deliver lessons that keep learning on track.
What the Role Involves
As a supply teacher, you could be responsible for:
Taking full responsibility for a class during the school day
Delivering lessons in line with the school's plans and curriculum
Creating a positive and well-managed learning environment
Supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs
Managing behaviour in accordance with school procedures
Working alongside teaching assistants and other school staff
Ensuring pupils remain engaged and make effective use of lesson time
Leaving feedback for the class teacher where appropriate
The Teachers We're Looking For
You will need:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent experience within a UK primary school
Good understanding of the National Curriculum
Strong classroom management skills
Confidence working with different year groups
The ability to adapt quickly to new schools and classes
A dependable and positive approach to teaching
Both experienced teachers and ECTs are encouraged to apply.
