Salary: up to £16ph
Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am - 3pm or 7am - 4pm | Friday 6am - 11am or 7am - 12 noon
Overtime available.
Your responsibilities include:
· Set up and run machines to meet customer specifications
· Read and interpret engineering drawings and ensure parts are manufactured in line with quality requirements
· Use manual measuring equipment such as verniers, calipers, micrometres, etc, to ensure parts meet customer requirements
About you:
· Ideally experienced using Centre Lathes - Colchester, TRENS, Harrison | Capstan Lathes - Herbert and Vertical / Horizontal Borers - Webster Bennett / Union BFT
· Proven machining experience
· Ability to read engineering drawings
· Able to measure and inspect your own work
· General engineering experience is welcome but not essential
· Confidence in performing self-inspection of parts using manual measuring equipment
