The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
An established BMS business with a strong UK presence is looking to appoint a Project Engineer to support a growing portfolio of projects across Central London.
This role offers the chance to work across a varied project environment, supporting the delivery of BMS installations within commercial buildings, large-scale developments, and technically demanding sites.
The position would suit an experienced BMS Engineer looking to broaden their project involvement, or someone already operating in a Project Engineer capacity who enjoys a mix of technical delivery, coordination, and customer interaction.
There is also potential for someone from a strong controls, HVAC, or wider building services background to step into the role, provided they have the right technical foundation and approach.
The role will involve:
· Supporting the delivery of BMS projects from initial handover through to completion
· Coordinating engineering activities, subcontractors, and project programmes
· BMS design, engineering, commissioning, and technical support
· Working closely with customers and internal project teams
· Managing project documentation, reporting, and H&S requirements
· Assisting with site surveys, system modifications, and technical problem solving
What they’re looking for:
· Previous experience within the BMS / building controls sector
· Good understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical plant
· Knowledge of systems such as Trend, Schneider EcoStruxure, Tridium or similar platforms
· Strong communication and organisational skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team
· Full UK driving licence
Experience within data centre or critical infrastructure environments would be beneficial, but isn’t essential.
